Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"The food at this restaurant is really good and worth trying, but I think they need to take better care of the place. The aircon is quite weak, which makes it uncomfortable at times. Service should be faster, and the staff need more training to be better organized. They should also serve all plates at the same time instead of one by one, to give a better dining experience. With some improvements, this place could be excellent."
"It’s nice to see a Halal dim sum restaurant in Ipoh. They have an excellent range of dishes, almost as many as a Chinese restaurant according to my wife. The only dish she couldn’t get was chicken feet! The food came quickly and overall, it was a little above average. Some dishes such as the prawn dumplings and fried radish cake were delicious. Whilst some such as the egg tart and bun were not that nice. With that being said, I still had a nice dine in here, especially after an early morning hike!"
"We came to this place unplanned as the restaurant we wanted to go to was crowded with a very long queue. The impromptu decision was actually a nice decision because this place was nice. The food was good, the service was nice by the staff. It took us quite a while waiting for the food but all of them tasted good. The seats in the indoor air-conditioned space were quite limited but they have outdoor space too. The location was just by the roadside but I think the parking space was quite limited. It was a nice experience here overall."
"What I liked about it : It's Halal : There are a lot of options available and the price is okay. : The waiting time is not long given that when we came, there's a lot of customers. What can be improved : When we 1st placed the orders, it was incomplete. I needed to repeat the order again."
"dim sums were SOOOO good, best halal dim sum. I enjoyed the golden fish dim sums the most because surprisingly they taste better than the shrimps, but each to their own! Cheong fun was so2, loved the dumplings and dim sum more, restaurant was somewhat spacious, but we went at a non hectic time so crowd was okay. Serving time is decent and cashier was friendly, although had to wait for food for quite some time but the dim sums came in a bunch instead of one by one so it was satisfactory. Restaurant was clean too, would love to come again!"
"I went for Dim Sum today at GreenTown Dim Sum in Ipoh, and it was a really great experience! What makes this place special is that it’s pork-free, so it’s perfect for halal eaters or anyone who avoids pork, including many Indian diners. They offer a wide variety of tasty options made with chicken and prawns, so there’s something for everyone to enjoy. If you’re in Ipoh and craving Dim Sum, I definitely recommend checking this place out!"
"One of the best halal dim sum spots in Ipoh. The food is tasty, served hot, and very affordable. Nice place to chill and eat with friends. Highly recommended."
